Abu Dhabi International Airport is also known as Zayed International Airport. This airport is the main airport for Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates(UAE). It is the second busiest airport in UAE after Dubai International Airport and one of the busiest in the Middle East. On February 9, 2024, the airport was renamed Zayed International Airport in honor of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who is the founder of UAE. Abu Dhabi International Airport has four terminals: Terminal 1, Terminal 2, Terminal 3, and Terminal A.

 

Terminal 1: Built in 1974, this was the first terminal for travelers to and from Abu Dhabi. It had two sections, Terminal 1A and Terminal 1B.
